En ingles existen 3 tipos de comparativo: INFERIORIDAD, IGUALDAD Y SUPERIORIDAD

INFERIORIDAD

Estructura: [less + than] / [not as … as]

Ejemplo: She is less intelligent than you [Ella es menos inteligente que tú]

Ejemplo: She is not as intelligent as you [Ella no es tan inteligente como tú]

IGUALDAD

Estructura: [as … as]

Ejemplo: She is as intelligent as you [Ella es tan inteligente como tú]

SUPERIORIDAD

Dependen de la longitud del adjetivo

ADJETIVOS CORTOS

Estructura [-er + than]

Ejemplo general: She is older than you [caso generico añadir –er]

Ejemplo terminaciones en «e»: Real turkeys is nicer than dogs.

Ejemplo terminaciones en «y»: Dogs is friendiest than cats.

Ejemplo terminaciones en «c-v-c»: Peter is bigger than Juan.

ADJETIVOS LARGOS

[more + than]

Ejemplo: She is more intelligent than you [Ella es más inteligente que tú]

ADJETIVOS IRREGULARES

better (mejor)

worse (peor)

farther (más lejos)

less (menos)
